Shanghai electric power company has built many application scenarios based on ubiquitous power Internet of things, among which virtual power plant is one of them.
State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Company (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Electric Power Company) is gradually promoting the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of things.
On August 31, Shanghai electric power company released the white paper of Shanghai ubiquitous power Internet of things at the industry sub forum of 2019 world artificial intelligence conference. According to the white paper, the company will complete the ubiquitous power Internet of things demonstration project of Zhangjiang Science City by 2021.
Tang Yuezhong, deputy chief engineer of Shanghai electric power company, told the interface news reporter that at present, the pilot area has covered 5 square kilometers of Science City, 24 square kilometers will be completed in the north this year, and 94 square kilometers will be expanded next year, gradually expanding the coverage and depth of ubiquitous power Internet of things.
Xie Wei, chief engineer of Shanghai electric power company, said that this year the company has carried out a total of 40 ubiquitous power Internet of things construction tasks, including three comprehensive demonstration projects of Zhangjiang Science City, xihongqiao business district and Xuhui central core area.
In addition to Zhangjiang Science City, xihongqiao comprehensive demonstration project has been deployed last year, and this year will mainly complete the second phase of upgrading task. Xuhui central core area plans to deploy 10000 IOT terminal access points within 1 square kilometer to introduce various application scenarios.
Sun Zhengyun, general information Engineer of State Grid Corporation of China, said that at the beginning of this year, State Grid put forward the strategic goal of "three types and two networks". Three types refer to hub type, platform type and sharing type; two networks refer to strong smart grid and ubiquitous power Internet of things.
Sun Zhengyun pointed out that the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of things is the core task of "three types and two networks".
Ruan Qianjin, general manager of Shanghai electric power company, said that the ubiquitous power Internet of things is the "neural network" of the power system. By using artificial intelligence and other technologies, power grid enterprises, power generation enterprises, users and equipment can be connected at any time and place, so as to realize the comprehensive perception of power grid operation state.
According to Tang Yuezhong, there are two levels of application of artificial intelligence technology in the ubiquitous power Internet of things. First, at the operation level of power grid equipment, after the introduction of artificial intelligence, the company can detect and perceive the hidden dangers and risks of power grid operation earlier, so as to ensure the safety and reliability of power transmission and distribution facilities.
Second, at the system level, the introduction of big data analysis and artificial intelligence and other technologies can put the information on the grid and user side into a cloud service platform of smart energy.
According to Tang Yuezhong, the cloud service platform of Shanghai electric power company is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
At present, Shanghai electric power company has built many application scenarios based on ubiquitous power Internet of things, among which virtual power plant is one of them.
Virtual power plant refers to the use of artificial intelligence technology and ubiquitous power Internet of things to enable the load to participate in grid regulation. Its main function is to regulate peak load and frequency, so as to ensure the smooth operation of power grid system when the power supply is tight. This technology also combines 5g, big data and other cutting-edge technologies.
According to the staff of the exhibition stand of State Grid Corporation of China, when there is a shortage of power supply in the area, the power grid can send electricity demand to the buildings included in the virtual power plant, and adjust the demand of charging piles, air conditioners, elevators and other electrical equipment in commercial buildings. For example, the mode of charging pile can be adjusted from fast charging to slow charging, so as to adjust the redundant power resources.
In the future, the virtual power plant will also be connected with the power market trading platform, and the owners of commercial buildings can get additional benefits by adjusting power resources.
Ruan said that on May 1, the virtual power plant had been commissioned all over Shanghai and obtained 1.2 million kilowatt hours of power.
