Relevant responsible comrades of the Organization Department of the center announced the decision of the center on the adjustment of the chairman and Secretary of the Party group of State Grid Co., Ltd.: Mao Weiming was appointed chairman and Secretary of the Party group of State Grid Co., Ltd., and he was removed from the positions of member of the Standing Committee, member and deputy governor of Jiangxi Provincial Committee; and he was removed from the positions of chairman and Secretary of the Party group of State Grid Co., Ltd., as well as appointment. The appointment and removal of the above posts shall be handled in accordance with the relevant laws and the rules of the articles of association.
It is also learned that ye Xiangdong, deputy general manager of Huaneng, is general manager of Huadian, Dai Houliang, chairman of Sinopec Group, Li Fanrong, deputy director of State Power Bureau, is general manager of CNPC, and Zhang Yuzhuo, member of the Standing Committee of Tianjin Municipal Committee and Secretary of Binhai New Area District Committee (former general manager of Shenhua) is chairman of Sinopec.
The first state grid leader with non power system experience
Since the establishment of State Grid in 2002, all the four leaders of State Grid, Zhao Xizheng, Liu Zhenya, Shu Yinbiao and Kou Wei, have been in charge of power system. In contrast, Mao Weiming's non electric power system career started from the enterprise and worked in Changzhou insulating materials general plant of Jiangsu Province, and later became a politician. He successively held the posts of mayor of Taizhou City, director of Jiangsu development and Reform Commission, vice governor of Jiangsu Province, Vice Minister of the Ministry of industry and information technology, executive vice governor of Jiangxi Province, etc. these positions are mostly intersected with the electric power industry.
PetroChina and Sinopec together
Dai Houliang, 56 years old (born in August 1963), is an "old man" of Sinopec. He has been working in Sinopec Group before and was promoted from general manager of Sinopec Group to chairman in July 2018. Now he is also the president of the Chemical Society of China.
In 1985, Dai Houliang graduated from Jiangsu Institute of Chemical Technology (now Changzhou University) with the major of organic chemical industry and participated in Yangzi Petrochemical Company, where he worked for nearly 20 years.
In September 2005, Dai Houliang was appointed as the deputy chief financial officer of Sinopec and vice president of Sinopec two months later. In June 2008, Dai Houliang entered the Party group of Sinopec Group. In May 2016, Dai Houliang filled the vacancy of Wang Tianpu, the former general manager of Sinopec, and was appointed as the general manager of Sinopec Group; in August of the same year, Dai Houliang served as the vice chairman and President of Sinopec; in mid October 2017, he was elected as the alternate member of the 19th Central Committee; in November 2017, Dai Houliang was elected as the academician of the chemical, metallurgy and Material Engineering Department of China Academy of engineering.
Li Fanrong, deputy director of the State Power Bureau, will be the general manager of CNPC.
Li Fanrong, 56, graduated from the Development Department of Jianghan Petroleum Institute, majoring in oil production engineering, professor level senior engineer. Since 1984, he has worked in China Offshore Oil Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CNOOC Group) for more than 30 years. He has successively held the positions of general manager of the company's development and production department, general manager of Shenzhen Branch, general manager assistant of the group, etc.
In April 2010, Li Fanrong took the post of deputy general manager and member of the Party group of CNOOC Group, and then concurrently served as the chairman of the subordinate Nixon company of CNOOC Group and the president of China National Offshore Oil Co., Ltd. of the listed company. Since May 2016, he has served as deputy director and member of the Party group of the State Power Bureau, in charge of the Department of power saving and technology equipment, the Department of oil and gas, and the Department of international cooperation.
Zhang Yuzhuo, the former chairman of Shenhua, took over as the chairman of Sinopec Group and became the first chairman of the state-owned petroleum enterprise who was not experienced in petroleum system.
Zhang Yuzhuo is 58 years old, born in Shouguang, Shandong Province. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of mining engineering, Beijing University of science and technology. He was engaged in Coal Research in his early years. At the age of 37, he was appointed president of the General Institute of coal science and technology. In 2002, he joined Shenhua Group, the largest coal central enterprise in China. He has successively served as the deputy general manager, general manager, vice chairman and chairman of Shenhua Group, and also served as the chairman of Shenhua coal to Oil Co., Ltd.
In May 2014, Zhang Yuzhuo served as the chairman of Shenhua Group and took charge of Shenhua for nearly three years. As a scholar enterprise manager, Zhang Yuzhuo elected academician of the Ministry of power and mining engineering of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2011.
In 2018, Zhang Yuzhuo was appointed member of the Standing Committee of Tianjin Municipal Committee, Secretary of Binhai New Area District Committee, and director of China (Tianjin) pilot Free Trade Zone Management Committee.
