The DC high-voltage generator is an instrument that provides a high-voltage DC source, and the instrument must be reliably grounded before use. Personnel using DC high-voltage generators must have a professional certificate for high-voltage testing. When using a DC high-voltage generator, users must comply with Article 168 of the Electric Power Safety Regulations and install two obvious disconnection points before the working power enters the tester. When replacing the test object and wiring, the two power disconnection points should be clearly disconnected first. At least three staff members must be present on site to effectively ensure the safety of users.
The DC high-voltage generator has various protection functions, such as overvoltage, overcurrent, zero position, grounding, and ungrounded protection. The protection information has Chinese prompts and audible alarms in the control section, and has a timing function. Screen display: output voltage, output current, voltage doubling stage, overvoltage protection value, working status, timing information, protection prompt, etc. Special sensors are used for fault sampling.
The operation process of the DC high-voltage generator:
1. Connect the test sample between the high-voltage output terminal and the grounding terminal.
2. Plug in the power cord, turn on the power switch, and the "High Voltage Off" indicator light (green) will be on, while the "High Voltage On" indicator light (red) will be off; The voltage display meter, current display meter, and 0.75 times the voltage display meter all display zero values.
3. Turn the voltage and current setting knob clockwise to the end, and turn the voltage adjustment knob counterclockwise to the zero position. (Note: The voltage adjustment knob is not in the zero position, and the "High Voltage Close" button cannot be activated.)
4. Gently press the "High Voltage Close" button, and the "High Voltage Close" indicator light (red) will light up. Slowly adjust the voltage adjustment knob to the desired voltage value for testing. During the test, the voltage display meter indicates the test voltage value, in kV; 0.75 times the voltage displayed in Table 11 indicates 75% of the test voltage value, in kV; The current display meter 7 indicates the test current value, in uA.
5. During the testing process of the test object, pressing the 0.75 times voltage display latch button will lock the displayed value of the 0.75 times voltage display meter, making it inconvenient to maintain the displayed value. This makes it convenient to use as a reference voltage when conducting zinc oxide lightning arrester tests.
6. At any time, pressing the timed on button will activate the time relay. When the timer reaches the preset time, the buzzer will sound an alarm and cut off the high-voltage output.
7. During the test, if the load current exceeds 0-10% of the rated output current of the instrument, the "overcurrent" indicator light will be on to protect against overcurrent and prevent damage to the test object and instrument.
8. During the testing process, if the test voltage exceeds 0-10% of the rated output voltage of the instrument, the "overvoltage" indicator light will be on to protect against damage to the test object and instrument.
9. After the experiment, rotate the voltage adjustment knob counterclockwise to the zero position, and the voltage display meter slowly returns to the zero position. After the three display meters display zero values, lightly press the "High Voltage Off" button. At this time, the "High Voltage On" indicator light (red) goes out, and the "High Voltage Off" indicator light (green) lights up. Then, turn off the power switch.
10. When the capacitance of the test sample is large, and the voltage adjustment knob is turned to the zero position, the output voltage display meter is delayed and cannot return to zero. Then, press the "High Voltage Divider" button first, and then turn off the machine. Then use a discharge rod to discharge the test object, and then remove the wiring of the test object.
The ZC-540A series DC high voltage generator is a new generation portable DC high voltage tester designed and manufactured according to the new Chinese power industry standard DL/T848.1-2004 "General Technical Conditions for DC High Voltage Generators". Mainly suitable for DC withstand voltage testing of high-voltage electrical equipment such as zinc oxide lightning arresters, magnetic blowing lightning arresters, power cables, generators, transformers, switches, etc. in power departments, power departments of factories, mining enterprises, research institutions, railways, chemical industries, power plants, etc. The KST-540 series DC high-voltage generator adopts an intermediate frequency voltage doubling circuit and PWM intermediate frequency pulse width modulation technology, greatly improving voltage stability. According to electromagnetic compatibility theory, special shielding, isolation, and grounding measures are adopted to discharge the DC high-voltage generator at rated voltage without damaging the instrument.
