The testing purpose of the fully automatic transformer ratio tester

:2023-10-07 15:21:36:

The fully automatic transformer ratio tester is an innovative product that overcomes the shortcomings of traditional transformer ratio bridge testing. The screen adopts a large screen high-resolution LCD screen, and the power supply adopts lithium battery power supply, which is convenient for on-site use. Mainly used for transformer ratio group testing, PT and CT ratio polarity testing, with fast testing speed and high accuracy.

The transformer transformation ratio is the voltage ratio between the primary winding and the secondary winding of a transformer. It is to check whether the number of turns in each winding of the transformer meets the design requirements. Measuring the transformation ratio of a transformer is a necessary test after transformer handover and overhaul. When the substation is put into use, the transformer is an important equipment to ensure the voltage stability of the electricity used and fed out by the substation. When it comes to transformers, it is the transformer's voltage transformation that affects its function. Through experiments, it can be verified whether the voltage transformation of the transformer is correct. It can also be checked whether the turn ratio of each coil matches the design, whether the tap leads are connected correctly, and whether the transformer turns are short circuited. Whether the transformer can be put into operation depends on the test results.

Transformer ratio tests, such as incorrect welding of transformer tap changer, inconsistent turns, coil open circuit, inter turn short circuit, and semi short circuit faults, can all be tested. To verify whether the transformer can achieve the expected voltage conversion effect, it is also possible to verify whether the turn ratio of each coil matches the design. Therefore, voltage ratio measurement is also an important test item.

The phase relationship between the voltage or current between the high-voltage coil and the low-voltage coil of a transformer is called the transformer connection group. When transformers are operating in parallel, they must meet the requirements of equal high and low voltage, equal impedance, and equal connection groups, and must be very accurate. If the wiring groups are different and the phases are different, it will cause voltage differences between the same phase coils of parallel transformers, generate unbalanced currents several times the rated current within the coils, and even pose a risk of burning the transformer. Therefore, determining the transformer connection group is also the most important item in the experiment.

The ZC-203AW fully automatic transformer ratio group tester is mainly used to supervise the quality of transformer products during delivery and use, to prevent inter turn short circuits, open circuits, connection errors, internal faults or contact faults of voltage regulating switches. The instrument is easy to operate, has complete functions, stable and reliable data, and has fast testing speed. It meets the needs of various large, medium, and small transformer ratio tests and is an ideal testing instrument for the power industry department.
