Precautions for using DC high-voltage generator:

1. Before the test, check whether the test object, DC high-voltage generator, voltage doubling cylinder, discharge rod, grounding wire, and test object wiring are properly connected, and whether the grounding wire is connected correctly.

2. The high-voltage output wiring must be firm to prevent the high-voltage lead from falling off and direct discharge to the ground during testing, which can damage the instrument.

3. Adequate safety distance must be maintained between surrounding objects and personnel during high-voltage testing

4. Install two obvious disconnection points before the working power supply enters the tester. When replacing the tested object and wiring, the disconnection point of the working power supply should be clearly disconnected first

5. During the cable withstand voltage test, the voltage increase process should be slow and uniform, and the voltage decrease process should also be slow and uniform. At the same time, a protective water resistance should be added to the high-voltage output end, otherwise, the back voltage may easily damage the instrument.

6. For the discharge of large capacitance test objects, a 1002/V discharge resistor rod should be used to discharge the test object. During discharge, the discharge rod should not immediately come into contact with the test object. Instead, the discharge rod should gradually approach the test object to a certain distance from the air gap and begin to discharge with a hissing sound. When there is no sound, the discharge rod can be used to discharge with the ground terminal, and then directly connected to the ground wire for discharge;

7. When the DC high voltage of the DC high voltage generator is 200KV or above, although the test personnel wear insulated shoes and are located outside a safe distance, due to the influence of the distribution of the high-voltage DC ion space electric field, several adjacent standing bodies may have different DC potentials. The test personnel should not shake hands with each other or touch the grounding point with their hands, otherwise there will be a slight electric shock phenomenon, which is more obvious in dry areas and winter, However, due to its small energy, it generally does not cause harm to humans;

8. After the experiment is completed, the test object should be discharged multiple times using a discharge rod, and only after sufficient discharge can the test object be approached for subsequent disassembly operations.

9. The interval between two tests should not be less than 5 minutes to ensure that the instrument can receive sufficient heat dissipation


Precautions for maintenance of DC high-voltage generator:

1. Prevent foreign objects from entering the control box. If there is a fan in the control box, it should be checked regularly to ensure that the fan is functioning properly.

2. Regularly inspect various dust prevention devices, and if damage or loose connections are found, they should be dealt with in a timely manner to prevent sand and dust from entering and damaging the equipment.

3. When the double voltage insulation is dirty, please use a dry cloth to clean it. Do not use organic solvents such as alcohol or gasoline to clean it, but use detergent to clean it

4. When replacing the fuse, please replace the fuse according to the amperage marked next to the fuse holder

5. Do not open the control box and pressure doubling cylinder without permission, otherwise it will affect the product warranty.
