The measurement box should be as close as possible to the high voltage end of the test sample. Adjust the amplifier gain knob to ensure that the injected pulse height is appropriate (about 2cm on the oscilloscope screen), and ensure that the digital voltmeter reading matches the injected known amount of electricity.
③ Test operation: Connect the power supply of the high-voltage test circuit, slowly increase the test voltage, and pay attention to the voltage at which continuous discharge occurs for the first time, which is the starting voltage of partial discharge. By operating the "Start Phase Selection" (Elliptical Rotation) button switch, place the discharge signal in the elliptical position that is most conducive to observation.
④ Choose the appropriate detection location: Ensure that the probe of the detector can contact all the parts that need to be detected to obtain the most accurate detection results.
⑤ Pay attention to environmental interference: There may be various interferences in the testing environment, and these interferences should be minimized or avoided as much as possible, such as electromagnetic interference, mechanical vibration, etc.
2. Maintenance skills
① Regular cleaning: Regularly clean the casing and display screen of the partial discharge detector to prevent dust and dirt from entering the interior of the instrument.
② Check cables and connectors: Regularly check whether the cables and connectors of the instrument are intact, and replace them in a timely manner if there is any damage.
③ Storage environment: The instrument should be stored indoors in a dry, ventilated, and non corrosive gas environment, with an ambient temperature of -20~60 ℃ and a relative humidity not exceeding 85%.
④ Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures: When using outdoors, try to avoid direct sunlight exposure to the display screen and ensure that the instrument is not exposed to high temperatures.
⑤ Regular calibration: Regularly calibrate and test the instrument to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
