1. The transformer installation site should not be too far away. Try to avoid installing the transformer in the wilderness. If it is too far away, it will not only waste cables and wires, increase line loss, but also be inconvenient for management and maintenance.
2. Do not choose the capacity of transformer. It is necessary to select the transformer capacity reasonably. If the capacity is small, the overload operation of the transformer is easy to be damaged. If the capacity is over 30%, it can only operate for two hours at most. If the capacity is large, it will not only cause waste, but also increase the installation cost of transformer. 3. Never ignore the transformer after installation and use. 6. Never adjust the tap changer without permission. When the power load fluctuates greatly, if the tap changer is adjusted at will without relevant test, it is easy to cause the tap changer not in place, and then the distribution transformer will be burned.
7. The transformer must not be placed in the same space with high and low voltage equipment. In many cases, due to limited space or want to save cost, the transformer, high and low voltage switchgear are installed in the same distribution room without isolation. 8. Do not forget to install lightning arrester at high and low voltage side of transformer. 9. Do not neglect the grounding system of transformer. Due to the long-term operation of the transformer, the grounding system may be rusted, broken, neutral point shifted, etc., especially the aluminum grounding wire, which should be checked regularly, and should not be ignored.
10. Do not despise the regular inspection of transformer. In many cases, the operation phase of the transformer is stable, but not ruled out, when the transformer fails.
