The power load of Donghu high tech Zone in Wuhan continues to rise, and the existing power grid is difficult to continue to support the development. Recently, we learned from State Grid Wuhan power supply company that according to the latest planning, Donghu high tech Zone will build and upgrade 28 substations within 6 years, which is equivalent to rebuilding a new Donghu high tech grid to meet the local high-speed power demand.
In recent years, with a large number of high-tech enterprises and large-scale projects settled in, the power demand of Donghu high tech Zone has increased sharply, with an average annual growth rate of more than 17% in the past three years. In 2018, the number of power supply customers in this area reached 409700, an increase of 11.97% year-on-year, and the largest increase of electricity consumption in the whole society reached 24.87%, ranking first in Wuhan. In the summer of this year, the maximum power load (full caliber) of Donghu high tech Zone reached 1.468 million kilowatts, up nearly 20% year-on-year, and the grid load has been nearly saturated.
"In addition to various major projects, the annual influx of new population is about 300000, which is faster than expected." According to the relevant person in charge of Dongxin power supply company, there are 25 substations in the optical valley area at this stage, and the power gap is about 1.2 million KVA, equivalent to the capacity of 12 110 kV substations. In February this year, Donghu high tech Zone Management Committee and State Grid Wuhan power supply company signed a framework agreement on Grid Co Construction and cooperation. Within three years, 14 substations will be built, and all new grid construction projects will choose "Dongxin form" - that is, the government will be responsible for the civil work of the substation, and the power supply company will be responsible for the electrical construction, which has changed the previous situation that the power supply company will take charge of everything. This form is the first form of joint construction of power grid by government and enterprises in China. In the past, a substation needs 3 and a half years from site selection to operation, while the construction period of "Dongxin form" can be shortened by more than 50%, the fastest time is only 1 year and 3 months.
According to the person in charge, considering the future development, the two sides recently expanded the joint construction form of 21 substations to 6 years, upgraded 7 substations together, with a total investment of more than 6 billion yuan, scattered around the optical valley center city and the future science and Technology City, mainly serving enterprises on three 100 billion level industrial roads, including Guanshan Road, optical valley five road and zuoling Road, and taking civil use into account. It is estimated that by 2025, the maximum load of power grid in Donghu high tech Zone will reach 3 million kilowatts. According to the current growth rate, the planned new and upgraded substations will meet the development needs of Donghu high tech Zone in the next 5 to 10 years.
According to the introduction, the newly-built substations are all indoor type, and the external decoration style will match with the surrounding architectural style, which will be more beautiful.
In addition to speeding up the construction of power grid, Wuhan power supply company has also continuously innovated its service mode. On August 25, Wuhan Donghu Comprehensive Bonded Area Construction Investment Co., Ltd. signed an agreement with State Grid Wuhan power supply company to explore the "smart power use" of the bonded area in the first place in the country. Mobile Internet, Internet of things, artificial intelligence and other skills will be used on both sides to collect and analyze the big data of power consumption in Donghu comprehensive bonded area, so as to conduct energy efficiency analysis, power quality management and intelligence. Accurate operation and maintenance shall be carried out to solve the problems of uneven energy distribution and large loss.
