On December 18, 2019, the commencement ceremony of the 330MW unit AGC energy storage assisted frequency modulation project of Guangdong Shaoguan Yuejiang Power Generation Co., Ltd. (Shaoguan Power Plant) undertaken by Beijing intelligent China Energy Internet Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as intelligent China Institute) was held at the construction site. Huang Yiqun, deputy director of Shaoguan Power Plant, Wu Jingtao, vice president of Zhizhong Academy of technology, Du Hong, general manager of Zhizhong Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. and relevant personnel of project department and cooperation unit participated in the ceremony.
In order to improve the AGC frequency regulation function of 330MW unit, the energy storage and frequency regulation project of Shaoguan power plant is equipped with 9mw / 4.5mwh side energy storage system, and the "one for two" mode is selected. The combined unit participates in AGC frequency regulation of power grid. The project is another important breakthrough in the field of thermal energy storage and frequency modulation in Guangdong Province after the grid connection and operation of the energy storage and frequency modulation project of China Resources Nansha power plant.
At the commencement ceremony, Wu Jingtao, vice president of the Chinese Academy of wisdom, delivered a speech.
