Structure and characteristics of oil immersed transformer

:2022-10-08 16:23:29:

The main structure of oil immersed transformer is composed of body, oil tank, cooling device, protection device and outgoing device. The device body comprises an iron core, a winding (winding), an insulation, a lead wire and a tap changer; The oil tank includes the oil tank body and its accessories (oil drain valve, grounding screw, trolley, nameplate, etc.); The cooling device includes radiator and cooler; The protection device includes oil conservator, oil pointer, safety air passage, moisture absorber, temperature measuring element and gas relay; Outgoing devices include high and low voltage bushings.

Characteristics of oil immersed transformer

1. Except for the small capacity of copper conductor, the low voltage winding of oil immersed transformer generally adopts the cylindrical structure of copper foil winding, and the high voltage winding adopts the multi-layer cylindrical structure. The ampere turn distribution of the winding is balanced, the magnetic leakage is small, the mechanical strength is high, and the short circuit resistance is strong.

2. The iron core and winding adopt fastening measures respectively. The fastening parts such as the height of the device and the low-voltage lead are equipped with self-locking locknuts. The structure without hanging core is adopted, which can withstand the shock of transportation.

3. The coil and iron core are vacuum dried, and the transformer oil is vacuum filtered and injected to minimize the moisture inside the transformer.

4. The oil tank adopts corrugated sheet, which has breathing function to compensate the volume change of oil caused by temperature change. Therefore, the product has no oil conservator, obviously reducing the height of the transformer.

5. As corrugated sheets replace oil conservator, transformer oil is isolated from the outside world, which effectively prevents oxygen and water from entering and leading to the decline of insulation performance.

6. According to the above five performance points, it is ensured that the oil immersed transformer does not need to change oil during normal operation, which greatly reduces the maintenance cost of the transformer and extends the service life of the transformer.
