Common faults and troubleshooting methods of DC resistance testers

When using a DC resistance tester, if a fault is encountered, corresponding solutions can be taken according to the type of fault:

1. If there is no display after startup, it may be due to the lack of AC 220V. At this point, it is necessary to check the power cord and fuse.

2. If the display is abnormal, it may be due to a malfunction in the motherboard or monitor. In this case, it is recommended to check the computer motherboard or replace the monitor.

3. The resistance value cannot be measured during normal testing, which may be caused by two reasons: the switch power supply is broken, resulting in no current output; Or the set resistance value exceeds the device range, causing the program to be unable to recognize instructions. If the power supply is damaged, replace it; If the set value exceeds the device range, restart the instrument and select the resistance or current within the range for measurement.

4. If there is a blurred screen during the experiment, it is likely due to poor contact of the internal wiring. At this point, the power should be turned off to check if the ribbon cables are loose and reinforce them. Another possibility is that electromagnetic interference may cause abnormal screen display. In this case, the manufacturer can be contacted to add a filtering capacitor.

5. Special attention should also be paid to the situation where the DC resistance tester burns the fuse as soon as it is turned on. For 5A~10A DC resistance meters, this situation is usually caused by high voltage burning out the built-in transformer, resulting in the instrument being unable to function properly; The occurrence of this situation in a DC resistance meter with a current above 20A may be due to other reasons.
