Common faults and solutions of capacitance and inductance testers

The capacitance and inductance tester may encounter some common faults during use. The following are some common faults and their solutions:

1. Common faults

① No response after startup, no display on LCD screen

Solution:

Check for AC power supply.

Check if the power cord is intact and securely connected to the tester and power socket.

Check if the fuse tube (such as 5A fuse tube) inside the power socket is burnt out, and replace it if necessary.

② USB communication abnormality

Solution:

Confirm whether the tester has entered the computer communication interface normally after booting up.

Check if the USB data cable connection is stable, and try replacing the USB data cable or connection port.

Check if the USB driver on the computer is installed correctly, and reinstall or update it if necessary.

After installing the USB driver, try unplugging and unplugging the USB data cable again to confirm the connection.

③ The instrument is turned on normally, and the touch screen is unresponsive

Solution:

Try turning off the power and restarting to restore normal operation of the touch screen.

If there is still no response after restarting, check if the touch screen connection line is intact.

④ The instrument is turned on normally, but there is no reading in the measured value

Solution:

Check if the fuse tube (such as 2A fuse tube) on the instrument panel is burnt out, and replace it if necessary.

Check if the connection of the test circuit is correct and ensure that there is no looseness or breakage.

Check if each test line is disconnected internally, and use tools such as a multimeter for testing if necessary.

⑤ Test results are abnormal or have significant errors

Solution:

Check if the test circuit connection is correct, ensure that the connection is firm, and there are no short circuits or open circuits.

Try replacing other capacitors or inductors for testing to determine if the fault is caused by the tested component.

Perform manual or automatic calibration to ensure instrument accuracy.

Pay attention to the changes in temperature and humidity in the testing environment, and try to maintain stability as much as possible.

2. Other suggestions

When using a capacitance and inductance tester, carefully read the manual and follow the operating steps.

Avoid using the tester in harsh environments such as humidity, high temperature, and strong magnetic fields.
