Common problems and solutions of DC resistance tester

DC resistance tester is a commonly used precision instrument in electrical testing, but some problems may be encountered during use. The following are common problems and solutions for DC resistance testers:

1. Power on and burn fuse

① Reason:

5A~10A DC resistance tester: usually the built-in transformer is burned out by high voltage.

DC resistance tester above 20A: It may be a fault with the switching power supply.

② Solution:

Timely replace damaged transformers or switch power supplies.

Maintenance must be carried out by professional engineers. If on-site repair is not possible, it must be returned to the factory for further processing.

2. Unable to measure the resistance value

① Reason:

Power failure: The switch power supply is damaged and there is no current output.

Over range: The set value exceeds the device range, and the program cannot recognize the command.

② Solution:

Power failure: Replace the power supply.

5. Battery issue

① Reason:

Low battery level: causing the instrument to malfunction.

Battery aging: affecting instrument performance.

② Solution:

Regular charging and discharging: Charge and discharge the battery every three months to extend its service life.

Timely battery replacement: If the battery ages, it needs to be replaced in a timely manner.

6. Other precautions

① Grounding protection: Ensure that the instrument is well grounded to prevent static electricity accumulation and electromagnetic interference.

② Discharge operation: After measuring the inductive load, wait for the discharge indication to be completed before disconnecting the wire to avoid inductive discharge endangering safety.

③ Regular calibration: The instrument is calibrated once a year to ensure the accuracy and stability of the measured values.
